Kristen M. Swanson, RN, PhD, FAAN
Research: Dr. Swanson's program of research has focused on caring, responses to miscarriage, and interventions to promote healing subsequent to early pregnancy loss. Dr. Swanson empirically developed a middle range theory of caring which she and others have replicated and/or tested with individuals, families, and groups experiencing a variety of health challenges.
Service/Practice: Dr. Swanson's theory of caring has been incorporated into practice and education models at a variety of health care settings throughout the United States.
