Nursing Diagnosis for BPH - Preoperative
  1. Acute or chronic obstruction related to mechanical obstruction, enlarged prostate, muscle destrusor decompensated bladder and an inability to contract adequately.
  2. Pain (Acute) related to the irritation of bladder mucosa, bladder distension, renal colic, urinary infection.
  3. High risk of dehydration related to post-obstruction diuresis ..
  4. Anxiety related to changes in health status or face the surgical procedure.
  5. Lack of knowledge about the condition, prognosis and treatment needs related to the lack of information.

Nursing Diagnosis for BPH - Postoperative
  1. Pain related to bladder spasmus and secondary incision in TUR-P
  2. High risk of infection related to invasive procedures: a tool during surgery, catheter, bladder irrigation often.
  3. High risk injury: bleeding related to surgery
  4. High risk of sexual dysfunction related to the fear of impotence result from TUR-P.
  5. Lack of knowledge: of TUR-P related towith lack of information
  6. Sleep disorders related to pain as theeffect of surgery.
