Febrile seizures usually occur as a result of the continued high fever untreated, seizures caused by fever usually occurs in infants and children aged 6 months to 5 years.

Here are some first aid you need to do when babies and children suffering from a febrile seizure, namely:
- Evacuation of children to a safe place such as the floor, the mattress and away from objects and hazardous environments (such as near water, fire).
- Tilt the head position to one of the side because of easy to remove if there is fluid in the airways, or that children do not choke.
- Loosen clothing worn, so as not to interfere with the child's breathing (shortness of breath).
- Do not insert anything into the child's mouth or whatever during febrile seizures occur, including medicines.
- If the child has difficulty breathing (apnea) or blue skin (cyanosis) immediately brought to the hospital to get a more comprehensive relief.
