  • Activity intolerance related to decreased muscle strength and tone
  • Knowledge deficit about immobility and potential complications
  • Altered peripheral tissue perfusion related to immobility and constriction from immobilization
    devices (traction, casts, splints, braces, etc.)
  • Impaired skin integrity related to bedrest or pressure from immobilization devices (traction, casts, splints, braces, etc.)
  • Risk for infection related to immobility, possible surgical intervention
  • Self-care deficit (feeding, bathing, toileting, etc.) related to loss of mobility and functional ability.
