Nursing Diagnoses for Patients with a Loss of Mobility or Function
- Activity intolerance related to decreased muscle strength and tone
- Knowledge deficit about immobility and potential complications
- Altered peripheral tissue perfusion related to immobility and constriction from immobilization
devices (traction, casts, splints, braces, etc.) - Impaired skin integrity related to bedrest or pressure from immobilization devices (traction, casts, splints, braces, etc.)
- Risk for infection related to immobility, possible surgical intervention
- Self-care deficit (feeding, bathing, toileting, etc.) related to loss of mobility and functional ability.
